The Action portion of the Copy Pointer Record pop-up window on the retrieved Pointer Record (PAD) (also known as a PR) page provides you with a set of radio buttons that are used to pick the desired action to be taken during the copy of the Source Record to the Target Record. The following values are possible:
- Change: By selecting the “Change” radio button, it allows you to change the basic information including the Effective Date and Time. Please Note: If the record is in a Disconnected status and if the "Change" radio button is selected, it will cause a "Revised Disconnect" record and the End Intercept and Referral fields will be editable. If you are trying to re-activate it, please select the "New" radio button.
- Disconnect: By selecting the “Disconnect” radio button, you will be able to initiate a Disconnect action for the Target Record.
- New: By selecting the “New” radio button, it enables you to create a new record provided either the target Toll-Free Number (TFN) is in a Reserved or Disconnect status. If you are trying to re-activate a Disconnected record, please select this radio button.
