- Submit: After all required and optional fields are entered, you must select the “Submit” button or press the “Enter” key on the keyboard to create the Pointer Record (PAD) (also known as a PR). The message, “Pointer Record Created Successfully” will be displayed at the top of the page.
- Cancel: To cancel all changes and to go back to the PR page, you must select the “Cancel” button. If there are unsaved changes, a pop-up window with a message, “You have unsaved changes and will lose them if you continue. Do you want to proceed?” will be displayed. By selecting the “Yes” button, it will cancel all changes and return to the PR page. By selecting the “No” button, it will allow you to remain in the PR page.
- Revert: If you need to go back to the last saved version of the record and remain on the Create PR page, you must select the “Revert” button. This removes all unsaved changes and allows you to continue with the PR. A pop-up message, “You have edited the Pointer Record Setup. You will lose your updates if you continue. Do you want to continue?” will be displayed. By selecting the “Yes” button, the PR page will revert back to the last saved PR and the message, “Pointer Record Reverted Successfully” will be displayed at the top of the page. If the user selected the “No” button, they will be returned to the page with all entered data still displayed.
- Save: At any time you can select the “Save” button to save the PR information entered up to that point. The message, “Pointer Record Saved Successfully” will be displayed at the top of the page. you can continue entering information or making changes.
