Somos: How do I Add New Users via the Somos Portal Website?

The Primary Contact, Company Administrator and User Administrator have the ability to add users using the Somos^® Portal Website (portal.somos.com). After successfully logging into the website, select the "Company Admin" section on the home page and on the "Company Admin" page select the "Add User" menu option from the left navigational menu. The User Profile Request consists of the following 5 steps:

1. User Information: In Step 1 of the User Profile request, it provides you, a Primary Contact, Company Administrator and User Administrator, may create a new user by adding the new user’s information on the Somos Portal Website.
2. Website Permissions: In Step 2 of the User Profile request, it provides you, a Primary Contact, Company Administrator and User Administrator, with the ability to assign the new user’s Somos Portal Website permissions. First, you may select the new user’s role when creating or updating the users profile on the Somos Portal Website. You may assign the new user’s role by selecting "Web User" or "Company Admin" from the "User Role" drop down menu list. The following articles dive deeper into each role:

3. Application Access: In Step 3 of the User Profile request, it provides you, as a Primary Contact, Company Administrator and User Administrator, with the ability to assign the new user with permission to the TFNRegistry™ (tfnregistry.somos.com) via the Somos Portal Website.
4. Environment Permissions: In Step 4 of the User Profile request, it provides you, as a Primary Contact, Company Administrator and User Administrator, with the ability to assign the type of environment permissions the new user requires for the main and secondary applications of the TFNRegistry.
5. Resp Org ID Permissions: In Step 5 of the User Profile request, it provides you, as a Primary Contact, Company Administrator and User Administrator, with the ability to specify the Resp Org ID(s) and the associated data the new user will be allowed to view or update when performing administrative tasks in the TFNRegistry.

Additionally, if you have an existing user's profile that you would like to copy everything except their user information (Step 1), there is an Add as a Copy Feature available.
