The Unsolicited Messages request allows a Resp Org to select the type of unsolicited messages provided through the TFNRegistry™ Application Programming Interface (API). For more information on the API, please click here.
In Step 1 of this request, please select whether access should be granted to the Resp Org for the Production, Sandbox, or both environments. Three different Unsolicited Message Activation actions can be completed with the Unsolicited Messages request by selecting the desired action:
- New, Update or Delete
Next, please choose how you would like to receive these notifications. You can choose to receive them via a URL or an IP Address. If you selected the URL option, please enter the domain of the URL in the corresponding field. However, if you selected the IP Address option, please enter the IP address and the port information in the corresponding fields.
Note: If you selected the URL notification destination details, all Asynchronous Callback URLs can only be utilized via Port 443 with SSL/TLS encryption and all messages for the Production and Sandbox Environments of the TFNRegistry will be sent over the Public Internet. For more details regarding Asynchronous Callback URLs, please click here. If you selected the IP address notification destination and it has been established with the TFNRegistry, a ping test will be sent to verify it has been connected successfully. |
After selecting the desired notification destination, please verify that you are aware the URL or IP address will be updated on Somos' firewall by placing a checkmark in the available checkbox next to the "I am aware that…" field. Additionally, provide all of the Resp Org ID(s) involved in the request. All Resp Org ID(s) provided must exist within the same Entity. If the listed Resp Org ID(s) are from separate Entities, please submit an additional request for each Entity. To establish the Unsolicited Message Rules for the API, please proceed to Step 2 by selecting the "Continue" button.
In Step 2, please provide information specifically related to the types (aka rules) of Unsolicited Messages provided to the Resp Org via the desired notification destination.
The "Messages Rules" page of the Unsolicited Messages request provides the ability to select how all, or individual, Unsolicited Messages will be handled by the Resp Org. The Resp Org may select "On" or "Off" for all messages or each type of Unsolicited Message.
The Unsolicited Message types are as follows:
- Customer Record Activation Notification (UNS-CRA)
- Carrier Approval Status (UNS-ACT)
- Control Resp Org Change (UNS-RCH)
- Online Control Resp Org Change Notification (in addition to UNS-RCH)
- Online Reservation Notification (UNS-RSV)
- Customer Record Audit/Resend Results (UNS-SCP)
- Automation Limit Change (UNS-ASL)
If you would like to add additional notes or documentation, please select the "Continue" button to proceed with Step 3 of this request, or you can select the "Submit" button to complete the request.
In Step 3 of this request, please review your submitter information. If you wish to add notes or alternate contact information regarding this request, please utilize the space provided. Additional documentation may also be attached to the request.
Once you have completed and submitted the request to the Help Desk, the other Resp Org(s) that is involved with the request will receive an email notification and a "Pending Task(s)" message on the Somos® Portal Website (portal.somos.com). This will notify the involved Resp Org to visit the Somos Portal Website and approve the Unsolicited Messages request. After the involved Resp Orgs approve the request, the request will be processed in the TFNRegistry by Somos support personnel.
