The Mass Change request is used to complete a Mass Resp Org Change or Mass Carrier Change through the TFNRegistry™ (tfnregistry.somos.com). Please refer to the TFNRegistry™ Functions Tariff for current rates for this type of request and state that you are aware of the charge and amount in the request.
A Mass Resp Org Change will replace the Responsible Organization (Resp Org) ID for a list of Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs) that are being managed by a Resp Org under a specific Resp Org ID usually submitted by the Submitting (new) Resp Org. However, if the Controlling (current) Resp Org would like to submit a Mass Resp Org Change on behalf of the Submitting Resp Org, they may do so by submitting this request. If submitted by the Controlling Resp Org, a Special Request is also required and must be completed by the Submitting Resp Org with a statement that they accept the TFNs from Resp Org ID XXXXX.
A Mass Carrier Change will replace the existing Carrier Identification Code (CIC) on all TFNs for a specified Resp Org ID. In Step 1 of this request, under the "What would you like to do?" field, you can select a "Mass Resp Org Change" or "Mass Carrier Change".
Mass Resp Org Change
In Step 1 of this request, please select the "Mass Resp Org Change" option for the "What would you like to do?" field. Next, enter the "Requested Start Date" and the estimated "Number of Records Involved" in the designated fields. The requested start date provided will be used if resources are available. The Help Desk will work with you to schedule this request. Please Note: By default, the "Partial" option will automatically be selected for the "Mass Resp Org Change Type" field. Following this field, please enter the old and new Resp Org ID in the corresponding fields. If all the required fields have been completed and if you would like to add additional notes or documentation (such as a list of TFNs to be changed), please select the "Continue" button to proceed to Step 2 of this request.
In Step 2 of this request, please review your submitter information. If you wish to add notes regarding this request, please utilize the space provided and remember to attach the list of TFNs to the request.
Once you have completed and submitted the request, the Controlling Resp Org will receive an email notification and a "Pending Task(s)" message on the Somos® Portal Website (portal.somos.com). This will direct the Controlling Resp Org to go to the Somos Portal Website and allow them to approve or reject the Mass Change request. When the Controlling Resp Org approves the request, the request will be sent to Help Desk for scheduling.
Mass Carrier Change
In Step 1 of this request, please select the "Mass Carrier Change" option for the "What would you like to do?" field. Next, notate the "Requested Start Date" and the estimated "Number Records Involved" for the Mass Carrier Change in the designated fields. The requested start date will be used if resources are available. The Help Desk will work with you to schedule this request.
After specifying the requested start date for the change, select a Resp Org ID from the "Resp Org ID on numbers to be changed" drop down menu. Please enter the old and new Carrier Identification Code (CIC) in the corresponding fields. If you would like to add additional notes or documentation, please select the "Continue" button to proceed to Step 2 of this request, or you can select the "Submit" button to complete the request.
In Step 2 of this request, if you wish to add notes or alternate contact information regarding this request, please utilize the space provided. Additional documentation may also be attached to the request. Once you have completed the request, select the "Submit" button to send the request to the Help Desk for scheduling.
