The TFNRegistry™ cleans-up (removes) older record information from the Customer Record Database (CRDB) via an automated scheduler which occurs weekly on Sundays. This section lists the rules used by the TFNRegistry for removing older records.
Record Cleanup - Short Retention Period
The TFNRegistry will remove (delete) records from the TFNRegistry that meet all the following conditions:
- The date in the Last Update field of the record is in the past.
- The record’s status is one of the following: HOLD, PENDING, FAILED, MUST CHECK, INVALID or SAVED or OLD.
- The record is followed by another record with a status of ACTIVE, SENDING or DISCONNECT.
- At least 5 days but no greater than 7 days must have passed since the record's Last Update date. Please Note: The number of days is a value set by the Administrators from 1 to 9 and is subject to change upon directions received from Somos.
Record Cleanup - Long/Extended Retention Period
The TFNRegistry will remove (delete) records from the TFNRegistry that meet all the following conditions:
- The date in the Last Update field of the record is in the past.
- The record's status is one of the following: HOLD, PENDING, FAILED, MUST CHECK, INVALID or SAVED or OLD.
- At least 30 days have passed since the record's Last Update date.
Record Cleanup of Assigned Numbers
Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs) in ASSIGNED status can remain in ASSIGNED status for a maximum of 6 months per the TFNRegistry™ Functions Tariff. Future Customer Records (CADs) (also known as CRs)/Pointer Records (PADs) (also known as PRs) for the TFNs that are held in ASSIGNED status for more than 6 months will be removed from the TFNRegistry, and these numbers will be changed by TFNRegistry to SPARE status. The TFNRegistry does not allow Responsible Organizations (Resp Orgs) to keep sliding their Pending records forward (e.g., via copy/transfer/convert), because that would violate the FCC's rule regarding maximum duration of 6 months that a TFN can remain in the Assigned status.
