Network Service Providers (NSPs) that want to restrict the use of their network to specific Responsible Organizations (Resp Orgs) can do so by entering the Resp Orgs that are allowed to use their network via the NLA page. Before the NSP can set up the Network Provider-SCP Owner/Operator IntraLATA Agreements (NLA) page, they must contact the Help Desk. The Help Desk must set up the NLA page for the Common Channel Signaling (CCS) Network first. The NLA page allows the Administrators to identify the set of Resp Orgs that are allowed to use their network for IntraLATA Toll-Free routing using Carrier Identification Code (CIC) 0110.
If a NSP sets up the NLA page, then Resp Orgs that attempt to create new Customer Records (CADs) (also known as CRs) or update CRs that use a network that is restricted will receive an error message if the Resp Org is not listed on the NLA page. In this scenario, the Resp Org should either replace CIC 0110 with a non-0110 CIC or establish a business agreement with the Network Service Provider via the NLA page, if applicable.
On the NLA/NLE page, to access the Network Provider-SCP Owner/Operator IntraLATA Agreements information select the Agreements radio button, by default Agreements is selected.
