Somos Hub uses your account email address to determine the appropriate sign in path. Customers whose organizations use Single Sign-On (SSO) are directed to their organization's identity provider; while other users will continue with their Somos Hub password.
Open a supported web browser (Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox) and navigate to https://hub.somos.com. Enter the email address associated with your Somos Hub account, then select the Continue button. If your organization uses SSO, follow the redirect to your organization's sign in experience. Otherwise, enter your password and select the Sign In button. After a successful sign in and authentication, the Somos Hub Dashboard will be displayed.
The Somos solutions, applications, and administrative options that are shown on the Somos Hub Dashboard are based on the current tenant, environment, subscriptions, and permissions assigned to your account.
Understand the Dashboard
The Dashboard is the starting point for the Somos Hub. Its major portions of the page are:
Environment Banner: Identifies the current environment you are logged into, if you are not in the Production environment. Other environments that you have permission to use will be available from the drop-down menu.
Side Navigation: Provides access to Somos Hub, Tenants, Users, Access Control, and APIs & Services. The menu can be expanded or collapsed.
- Product Cards: Represent the Somos products (aka solutions) and applications available to your account. Select a card to open.
- User Menu: Provides Change Tenant, User Profile, and Logout when those options apply.
Switch Environments
An environment represents a separate working context in the Somos Hub. When more than one environment is available, use the selector before beginning to work so that you view and update the intended set of data.
Locate the Environment selector in the top banner or top right corner (above product cards) on the Somos Hub Dashboard page. Open the selector and choose an environment available to your account, such as Production or Sandbox. Wait for the Somos Hub to reload, then verify the Environment name in the top banner before working with data. Somos is not responsible for any entries or changes made by users that may be made in the wrong Environment.
Opening and Closing a Product Card
Product cards provide the transition from the Somos Hub into individual Somos products and applications. Because the Somos Hub Dashboard page reflects both tenant subscriptions and user permissions, a product card appears only when the current account is authorized to use it.
Return to Somos Hub by selecting the Somos Hub menu item in the left side navigation menu. From the TFNRegistry, select the “Back to the Somos Hub” link that can be accessed in the left side navigation menu, Locate the corresponding Product Card that you want to use and select it. Somos Hub will open the product's home page.
Switching Between Tenants
A User’s account belongs to one Tenant, also known as their Home Tenant. Users with Cross-Tenant Grants (formerly known as Cross Entity Permissions) can work in another permitted tenant. A user can switch Tenants when they have Cross-Tenant Grants to work in a different Tenant, also known as the Current Tenant. Somos is not responsible for any entries or changes made by users that may be made in the wrong Tenant.
- Home Tenant: The organization to which your user account belongs.
- Current Tenant: The organization whose data and permissions are currently loaded.
Switch to Another Tenant
Changing the Current Tenant reloads the Somos Hub in the context of the selected organization. This changes not only the tenant’s name but also the products, users, Resp Orgs, permissions, and credentials available for administration.
Navigate to the User Profile menu item in the upper right corner of the Somos Hub Dashboard page and then select the Change Tenant menu item. Review the displayed Home Tenant and Current Tenant. Select a tenant from the list, then select the Switch Tenant button.
Confirm the Current Tenant message and the tenant’s name on the User Profile page. Verify that product cards, tenant information, users, and API credentials reflect the selected tenant.
Return to Your Home Tenant
When Cross-Tenant work is complete, return to the Home Tenant to restore the products, data, and permissions associated with your own organization.
Navigate to the User Profile menu item in the upper right corner of the Somos Hub Dashboard page and then select the Change Tenant menu item. Review the displayed Home Tenant and Current Tenant. Select the Home Tenant from the list, then select the Switch Tenant button. Confirm that the current tenant is your home tenant before continuing.
Logging Out
Logging out ends the active Somos Hub session. This is especially important after managing user access, organization data, or API credentials, and whenever Somos Hub is used on a shared device.
Navigate to the User Profile menu item in the upper right corner of the Somos Hub Dashboard page and then select the Logout menu item. Close the browser window when using a shared or public device
