The MFA set up process begins on the TFNRegistry's Login page or the User Control (URC) page. During the MFA set up process, a QR code is generated by the TFNRegistry that you must scan in your third-party application on your mobile device to pair and complete the set up process. Alternatively, you may receive a secret key to enter into your third-party application in lieu of scanning a QR code.
During the login process, you will be requested to set up MFA and you will be directed to the URC page.
- On the MFA pop-up window, you must select the “Click here” link to set up the MFA in the URC page and you will be directed to the URC page.
- Alternatively, you can also close the pop-up window by selecting the “Close” button or the “X” button in the top right to go to the TFNRegistry Landing page.
- Please Note: You can exit the MFA set up during login process and then you can navigate to the URC page independently at any time to set up MFA.
MFA set up on the URC page
- On the URC page, you can view the “Multi-Factor Authentication” section.
- By selecting the “Set Up MFA” button in this section, an MFA pop-up window will be displayed requesting you to either scan the QR image or get a secret key instead to receive the verification code, a 6-digit number.
Scan QR image
- You must open the third-party application (e.g., Google Authenticator application) on your mobile device and then scan the QR image displayed on the MFA pop-up window.
- After the QR image has been scanned on the third-party application, a 6-digit verification code will be displayed on the mobile device confirming that you account and the mobile device are now paired for MFA.
- Select the “Next” button on the MFA page.
- Now, enter the 6-digit verification code in the corresponding field and select the “Submit” button.
- Once the verification process is complete, an authentication success message will be displayed. Select the “Done” button to close the pop-up window.
Get secret key
- When the third-party application is not equipped with a QR scanner or if you prefer to use a secret key, then select the “Get a secret key instead” link.
- A secret key will be automatically populated. You must select the secret key and enter it into your third-party application.
- After the secret key has been entered into the third-party application, a 6-digit verification code will be displayed on the mobile device confirming that your account and mobile device are now paired for MFA.
- Select the “Next” button on the MFA page.
- Now, enter the 6-digit verification code in the corresponding field and select the “Submit” button.
- Once the verification process is complete, an authentication success message will be displayed. Select the “Done” button to close the pop-up window.

Please Note:
- You must enter a 6-digit verification code every time while logging into your account. The 6-digit verification code will expire every 60 seconds (the timing may vary depending on the third-party application being used), so you must ensure to enter the code within the stipulated time.
- In the third-party application, you can view and edit the application name (TFNRegistry) and view your Login ID (Ex: ZATSTWPO).
