Self-Serve Password Administration allows you to handle normally occurring password situations yourself without involving an Administrator. The 3 different password scenarios that can be resolved by you are:
- Change Password
- Expired Password
- Forgot Password
Change Password
The change password functionality enables you to update the password when desired or required. Once you log into the TFNRegistry™, you may change their password by selecting the “Change Password” button under the User Profile menu in the upper right corner of the page.
By selecting the “Change Password” button, a “Change Password” pop-up window will be displayed asking you to change your password.

To change your password, you must first enter their existing password and then enter your new password. You must also re-enter the new password to confirm that it matches and then select “Submit” button.
The following rules apply to new passwords and any password change attempts must adhere to these rules or the password change will not be successful. The password should:
- Be between 8 to 14 characters in length.
- Be case sensitive.
- Contain at least one alpha, one special character and one numeric character.
- Letters (A-Z or a-z).
- Special Characters `'!@#$%&*()-_+={}[]:;<>.?/., (a space ‘ is not valid).
- Digits (0-9).
- Differ from last configured number of old passwords (e.g. different from the previous 5 passwords).
- Differ from an old password in at least 3 positions.
Please Note: TFNRegistry passwords will expire after 90 days to align with Somos' password reset policy and you will be locked due to inactivity after 180 days.
Once the password change has been successful, you will be returned to the TFNRegistry Login page. You must login with your new password.
