The Manual Control Request (MAC) page for SCP Administrators contains the Toll-Free Number (TFN) under control, the Gap Interval, Control Duration, Call Treatment and Number Type. When the Service Control Point (SCP) receives a query from a Service Switching Point (SSP), it processes the call and if the TFN or the terminating number is on the Manual Control List, SCP returns an Automatic Call Gap (ACG) command to the SSP. The ACG command sent to the SSP contains the TFN, Gap Interval, Control Duration and Call Treatment. When a destination number is under manual control in the SCP, the ACG command sent to the SSP contains the TFN that is terminating at the destination number.
The TFNRegistry™ (tfnregistry.somos.com) initiated manual controls are limited to 32 per SCP. Manual controls are limited to the Network Manager's CCS Network; hence, only the SCPs for the Network Manager's CCS Network will be listed. Manual Control Requests (MACs) are sent in the critical mode; hence, the word critical is allowed in the key field although no processing differences will result. Critical requests are sent to an SCP even if the SCP is overloaded.
To access the MAC page from the Landing page or from any page, you can select the Menu icon (in the upper left corner), the “Network and SCP Administration” menu item and then the “Manual Control Request (MAC)” sub-menu item. Once the "Manual Control Request" sub-menu item has been selected, the sub-menu item will be highlighted and the MAC page will be displayed.
