In the Results portion of the Number Search and Reserve (NUS) page, it will contain the list of Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs) (from 1 - 10) that meet the given Search Criteria. A maximum of 10 results are displayed on a page. In this example, it shows the results of a multiple number search with a quantity of 7 numbers and submitting the request by selecting the "Search" button:
To reserve a TFN found in a search, you must select the check box to the left of the TFN, or select the check box at the top of the list to select all TFNs on the page. By selecting the “Reserve” button, it will then attempt to reserve all the selected TFNs.
You can select the “Reset” button to clear the values/set to default values entered in the fields like number, quantity, etc. By selecting the “Reset” button, the data will be cleared from all the fields enabling the page for a new search.
If a Search and Reserve was performed by selecting the “Search & Reserve” button, after you have entered the Search Criteria (and if the TFN(s) was available), the TFNRegistry™ reserved the TFN(s) under your Resp Org ID. You may view additional details about any specific TFN in the results list by selecting the plus sign (+) next to the number.
- Select to Reserve: Select each box to reserve the TFN(s) (this is only available if you selected search only).
- Toll-Free Number: A list of TFNs that match the provided search criteria. The number of TFNs will match the quantity provided by you.
- Status: The status of the TFN will be Spare if it is available for reservation or have a status of “In Use” if a Resp Org already manages the TFN. The status will be “On Hold”, if the TFN is pre-reserved by you. The status will be "Closed" if the NPA-NXX is closed.
- Reserve: Select the “Reserve” button to reserve the selected TFNs (this is only available if you selected only to search and has selected one or more TFNs).
Please Note: A status of "Closed" is shown to Resp Orgs, although the Help Desk will see a status of Spare because the Help Desk is permitted to reserve TFNs in a closed NPA-NXX. For more information on Closed Codes, please click here.
