TFNRegistry™ contains every Toll-Free Number (TFN) within the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). Other than numbers in a Spare status, they will have a single Responsible Organization (Resp Org) that manages that number. Once a Toll-Free Subscriber (end customer) places an order for a TFN, the Resp Org submitting the subscribers’ order into the TFNRegistry is the managing Resp Org and their Resp Org ID will be associated with the number. The Resp Org is responsible for managing the subscribers’ TFNs in the TFNRegistry. The Resp Org is typically responsible to its customers for the overall coordination to provision, maintain, and test the TFN between various entities, such as LECs, ICs and the TFNRegistry.
