Part 1 Part 2
The TFNRegistry Industry Beta is now open!
As part of our ongoing commitment to modernizing the Toll-Free experience, Somos is refreshing the TFNRegistry and preparing for its migration to the Somos® Hub — creating a more unified, intuitive way for Responsible Organizations (Resp Orgs) to access the tools and information they rely on every day.
During our recent two-part webinar series, TFNRegistry™ Industry Beta Program: Your First Look at What’s Ahead, Somos Product Managers Rebecca Shepherd, Sushil Inaganti, Michael Smyth and Daniyal Khan walked through what the modernization means for TFNRegistry users, demonstrated the refreshed experience and supporting functionality in the Somos Hub and shared an important milestone in the migration journey: the Industry Beta Program officially opened on September 29, 2026.
Now, it’s your turn to explore what’s ahead.
Key Takeaways
- The TFNRegistry™ is evolving. Somos is modernizing the experience and preparing for its migration to the Somos Hub.
- Be a Part of Industry Beta. Users can begin testing the refreshed experience in the Sandbox environment.
- Familiar workflows, refreshed experience. New navigation and features make it easier to work within the TFNRegistry.
- Management is becoming more centralized. The Somos Hub will bring all user, role and organization management into one place.
- Migration will happen in phases. Beta, production launch and a customer adoption period will give Resp Orgs time to prepare.
- Resources are available. Guides, FAQs, webinars and Toll-Free Tuesday sessions will support users throughout the transition.
- Feedback matters. Beta participants are encouraged to test familiar workflows and share input ahead of production.
Modernizing the TFNRegistry Experience
Today, TFNRegistry users may work across multiple interfaces for tasks ranging from Toll-Free Number administration to user and organization management.
The migration to the Somos Hub is designed to simplify that experience by providing a centralized starting point where users can access Somos products from a single dashboard using one set of credentials.
For TFNRegistry users, that means less time navigating between systems, a more consistent experience and a modernized interface built around familiar workflows.
The goal is simple: make everyday tasks easier to access and complete.
Bringing More Together in Somos Hub
We are expanding what’s available in the Somos Hub, with additional capabilities continuing to evolve as the migration progresses. Rather than recreating the Secure Portal, capabilities are being reorganized around user needs, with common administrative functions becoming shared Somos Hub capabilities.
For authorized users, this includes more centralized access to:
- User profiles, including TFNRegistry Login IDs, products and roles
- Organization management, including Tenant and Resp Org information
- User management, including roles, permissions and access
- TFNRegistry profiles, including Login IDs and associated permissions
This will give organizations greater visibility and control while reducing the need to work across multiple systems. Billing will continue to be managed through Secure Portal at this time.
Industry Beta Is Officially Open
One of the biggest milestones shared during the webinar is that the TFNRegistry Industry Beta Program is now live!
This Beta Program gives users an opportunity to explore the refreshed TFNRegistry experience through the Somos Hub before production migration begins. Testing takes place in the TFNRegistry Sandbox Beta environment, allowing participants to try familiar workflows and new functionality without affecting production data.
We encourage users to test regularly and share feedback along the way. Your input will help Somos continue refining the experience ahead of production launch, with additional functionality introduced throughout the Beta Program.
While API functionality is not changing, users should become familiar with the updated access and authentication requirements that will come with the move to Somos Hub.
What’s Ahead: The Migration Roadmap
The launch of the Industry Beta Program marks the beginning of the next phase in the TFNRegistry modernization journey.
Here’s a look at the roadmap:
- September 29, 2026: Industry Beta officially opens
- During Beta: Users can access the Somos Hub, test the refreshed TFNRegistry and supporting functionality and provide feedback
- Q1 2027: Production launch begins
- Two-month migration adoption period: Organizations will have time to transition to the new experience
- Following migration adoption period close: All Resp Orgs will access the TFNRegistry through the Somos Hub
The transition will not happen in a single day. The migration adoption period is intentionally designed to give organizations time to prepare and make the move.
That said, getting familiar with the Somos Hub during Industry Beta is one of the best ways to prepare. The earlier your team begins exploring the experience, the more opportunity you will have to identify questions, provide feedback and become comfortable with the platform before migration.
Resources to Help You Every Step of the Way
We know a successful transition requires more than access to a new platform. That’s why Somos is continuing to build resources designed to support TFNRegistry users throughout the Beta Program and migration.
The Somos Support Center will serve as the central location for TFNRegistry Industry Beta and migration resources, including:
- The Somos Hub User Guide
- Secure Portal and Somos Hub side-by-side guides to help users understand where familiar processes can now be found
- Knowledge articles and FAQs
- A bug tracker for known issues
- Migration-related webinar recordings
We’ll continue adding and updating materials as we move toward production, so be sure to check back regularly.
Somos is also hosting Toll-Free Tuesday Open Sessions on select Tuesdays throughout the Beta Program. These sessions give users another opportunity to connect directly with the Somos team, ask questions, walk through an issue or hear what other members of the Resp Org community are experiencing during testing.
