The Carrier Administration request is used to define which carriers may be managed by a specific Responsible Organization (Resp Org) ID. The Resp Org ID is permitted to view the Carrier Identification Codes (CICs) routing in all Customer Records using the CIC and update the Carrier pages in the TFNRegistry™ (tfnregistry.somos.com). This request may be submitted to allow a Resp Org to act on behalf of a carrier within the TFNRegistry.
The authorized Resp Org will be able to access and update carrier notification and approval information for that carrier. For more information, please click here.
In Step 1 of this request, please select to add, delete, or replace each carrier for the "What would you like to do?" field. Next, enter the Carrier name and select your Resp Org ID from the drop down menu. To proceed with the request, please select the "Continue" button. In Step 2 of this request, list the Access Customer Name Abbreviation (ACNA) and 4 digit Carrier Identification Code (CIC), (for example: ZAC-9901) in the space provided. To add additional Carriers, select the "Add Another Carrier" button. For each listed ACNA-CIC, specify one of three translations to designate the type of destination numbers allowed for each ACNA-CIC listed on the request. The supported translation selections for the ACNA-CIC are:
- Yes: Select this option to allow only Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) numbers to be used with your CIC.
- No: Select this option to allow only Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs) to be used with your CIC.
- Both: Select this option to allow both POTS numbers and TFNs to be used with your CIC.
If you would like to add additional notes or documentation, please select the "Continue" button to proceed to Step 3 of this request, or you can select the "Submit" button to complete the request.
