The Primary Contact, Company Administrator(s) or a Special Approver (the Special Approver will need to have access to the Manage Primary Contact or Company Name request) has the ability to change their company information listed on the Somos® Portal Website (portal.somos.com). The Manage Primary Contact or Company Name request may be used to update the company information for an Entity (also known as a Responsible Organization (Resp Org) with Somos (first 2 characters of the Resp Org ID) or designate the Primary Contact of a Resp Org or Service Control Point (SCP). The Primary Contact will have administrative access to all Somos requests pertaining to the day to day relationship of the Resp Org/SCP with Somos. The Primary Contact is involved in fee based decisions and in determining the permission structures of their company’s users. Please Note: The provided Primary Contact’s information will automatically be included on the Somos Primary Contact list on the Somos Portal Website and be available to all active Resp Orgs.
To change the Primary Contact’s name, once on the "Company Admin" section, select the "Manage Entity" menu link and then the "View Entity" page will be displayed. Once the page is displayed, select the "Edit" button to update any of the following items for your Company’s Entity:
- Entity Name: Enter your Company’s name.
- Entity Description: Enter a brief description about your Company.
- Email: Enter your Company's email address.
- Primary Contact: Select from the available Login ID(s) in the drop down menu to assign a Primary Contact for your Entity. If the new Primary Contact does not have a Login ID, a Login ID must be created. For additional assistance with adding a new user, please click here.
Please select the "Submit" button to save the changes. Once the "Submit" button has been selected, the request will be sent to the Help Desk for processing. Please Note: For a change of the Primary Contact the Help Desk will notify the approver within 3 business days.
