You, as an authorized user, can create an Entity Notification and Approval Setup (ENA) for a Carrier Identification Code (CIC). If a Carrier does not have an ENA page created (but the Carrier and Entity, if provided, exist in the TFNRegistry), then after you select the “Retrieve” button, a pop-up will be displayed to you asking for a confirmation to create an ENA for the Carrier.
If you select the “Yes” button, the ENA Create page will be displayed. By selecting the “No” button, it will return you to the ENA page to enter a different Carrier.
If both a Carrier and Entity/Resp Org were specified when retrieving the information, the “Entity/Resp Org ID” field will be pre-populated with the provided value.
You will now be able to create the ENA setup for the Carrier and Entity/Resp Org combination by selecting from the following 5 options for the Carrier’s Desired Action from the TFNRegistry drop down menu:
- Added to Routing
- Possible Routing Change
- Deleted from Routing at SCP (Working Number)
- Deleted from Routing at SCP (Disconnect Number)
- Resp Org Changes
For all 5 of the options listed above, you can set up either receive notifications or not receive notifications by selecting one of the following 3 radio buttons options:
- No Notification: TFNRegistry will not send notifications of the changes.
- Notify: TFNRegistry sends notifications of the changes.
- Request Approval (Non-CIC-0110 only): Sends a request for approval for the indicated changes.
Please Note: If only a Carrier was provided for the retrieval the “Entity/Resp Org ID” field, it will be blank and you must provide either an Entity or Resp Org ID. Each approval request includes a notification message stating the reason for the approval request. Therefore, selecting the “Request Approval” option will result in Notifications sent whether the “Notify” option is selected or not.
After the Carrier Desired Action from TFNRegistry drop down menu options have been selected, you must select the “Submit” button to create the ENA for the provided Carrier. Once the creation is successful, a status message, “Entity Notification & Approval Setup Created Successfully” will be displayed at the top of the page.
