Description of a Failed Audit
A failed audit, in this context means that the initial hashes did not match. This triggers further messages to allow the mis-matched data to be corrected. Once all incorrect TFNs are corrected by the TSS (by putting new events on the “live” download queue), the final message indicates the audit completed successfully -- indicating the discrepancies were corrected by putting new events on the download queue.
The diagram below shows how a single TFN is corrected when the DBs differ by just one TFN. However, to reduce complexity, the diagram skips the start of the audit and goes straight to the first failed hash.
